GENESIS DE TALMA

The sire of Genesis de Talma, the Olympic stallion Mylord Carthago, was not just a five-star performer, but a winner! He won the 5* GP of Helsinki, Vienna and Paris, as well as the 5* Nations Cups in Aachen, Rome and Gijón. Mylord Carthago has not only proven himself at the highest level, but also passes on his showjumping qualities and competition mentality to his offspring. In the WBFSH top 100 of the best suppliers of showjumpers in the world, he ranks 4th, thanks to Tino La Chapelle, Bingo du Parc, Argan de Beliard and Valmy de la Lande, amongst others. 

Genesis also inherited top showjumping blood through his dam line. His dam, Very Nice de Talma, won the French championship for 5-year-olds, ranked 5^th in the championship for 6-year-olds and later jumped at 1m40 level. She is a half-sister to the approved stallion Adagio de Talma and the international showjumper Comedie de Talma. Very Nice is a descendant of the Selle Français lineage 42. This famous sports lineage includes Norson du Reverdy (5*, Doda de Miranda), Lucky du Reverdy (4*, 1m60), Osyris (Eric Navet), the Selle Français stallion Elf d’Or, Pelfe d’Or, Nations Cup and GP horse Elan du Thot, Requiem De Talma (5*, Alexandra Ledermann), Ideo du Thot (5*, Martin Fuchs and Beat Mändli) and Sarena (5*, Ben Maher). 

Genesis de Talma has a good canter and jumps with a lot of balance, scope and technique. In 2023, under the saddle of Eden Leprévost Blinlebreton, he achieved several clear rounds during international competitions for young horses and was a finalist in the French championship for 7-year-olds in Fontainebleau. Since October 2023, Marit Haarr Skollerud has been writing a sequel to the success story of the promising Genesis de Talma.
