New outdoor arena

Since a couple of weeks we have a brandnew outdoor arena (75m x 40m). With this extremely well drained geopad, we can train on a perfectly rideable and stable soil throughout the whole year.

Strong start in Lummen!

Today (April 9, 2009) Karel was off to a blazing start in the outdoor season in Lummen. Among others, Karel obtained a magnificent second place with Turbo Van het Gestelhof (Darco) after the Brit Joe Clee in a 1m40 contest. With Akita (Skippy II), Karel ended third in a 1m35 contest and with Absolut Z (Animo II), he ended third in a 1m20 contest for six-year old horses.

Karel wins The Masters in De Warre

During the Happy New Year's Jumping on January 3, 2009 in De Warre (Neeroeteren - Belgium), Karel has won The Masters with the eight-year old BWP mare Bianca van 't Scheefkasteel (Cappucino Van Berkenbroek x Lord).

Tenth in Mechelen

During jumping Mechelen on December 29, 2008, Karel and Akita (Skippy x Goldspring) finished tenth place in the Open Belgian Breds competition (1m40 with jump-off).

After a clear first round, Karel and Akita made one mistake in the jump off. In spite of this, Karel and Akita still achieved an excellent tenth place. Vincent Voorn and Audi's Cierania Z (Caretano Z x Libero H) won this competition.

World Championship for young horses

Karel Cox and Bufero van het Panishof (Parco x Polidiktus van de Helle) performed superbly at the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken, which took place from September 18 2008 up to September 21 2008.

With the 7-year olds, Karel and Buffero van het Panishof did not make a single jumping fault in the first two heats of 1m35 and finished eight in the second qualification round.

During their third qualification round on Saturdag, Karel and Bufero made their first jumping fault; because of this fault they were not allowed into the final, despite their fantastic performance.

At 1 second of the final for the Belgian Championship

Karel Cox has performed superbly with Turbo van het Gestelhof at the Belgian Championship in the town of Kapellen, which took place from August 28 2008 up to August 31 2008.

Karel and Turbo ended the first day with 1 fault and the second day with 2 faults, but -unfortunately- with 1 second above the time limit. Therefore they obtained 13 penalty points over the course of both heats, while all combinations with 12 faults or less were allowed into the final.

In this final, Philippe Lejeune became Belgian Champion with Vigo d'Arsouilles (Nabab de Rêve x Fleuri Du Manoir).

Grand Prix CSI Roeser

On June 15, 2008 Karel Cox and Turbo van het Gestelhof (Darco x Furioso) finished 14th in the Grand Prix CSI Roeser (Luxemburg).

Winner of the Mazda Stallion Competition

Karel Cox and Bufero van het Panishof have won the first Mazda Stallion Competition. They emerged victorious over the course of 4 trials and the final: Jumping Mechelen, Moerzeke, Jumping Hasselt and the Stallion Selections of SBS in Gesves. The final took place in the LRV Riding School in Old Heverlee during the BWP stallion selection.

Karel and Bufero ended up in the rankings with a comfortable lead over the rest of the participants. This is not a total coincidence, because - as Equitime wrote in its edition of April 2008 - he can compete with all others when it comes to power and skills.
