During the 2024 edition of the KWPN stallion selection, Like Ermitage Optimus WS KCX impressed with his scope and reflexes. This athlete is a genetic pearl. His sire, Ermitage Kalone, is particularly successful in the international four- and five-star circuit and masterfully won the Belgian senior showjumping championship in September 2023, in partnership with Gilles Thomas. It is striking how often Ermitage Kalone jumps clear, even at the highest level, which underlines his showjumping qualities.

Both his dam (Cacacha van het Schaeck, Max Sebrechts) and his granddam (Fortis Fortuna, Daniel Coyle) performed at 1m60 level. Cacacha always wanted to go for it in the arena, a quality that she passes on to her descendants. Her offspring include the very successful 5* GP showjumper Like A Diamond van het Schaeck, Chili van het Schaeck (1m50 level), as well as the approved stallion Excelsior Optimus, a full brother to Like Ermitage Optimus WS KCX.
